The Sheffield Cats Shelter is seeking to appoint new Trustees
We’re a much-loved local charity, and we’re proud to be one of the country’s oldest dedicated animal shelters.
For more than 120 years, we’ve been helping abandoned and unwanted cats across Sheffield. In our Broomhall shelter, our dedicated staff provide expert care to hundreds of cats and kittens every year, ensuring they have all the love and attention they need, and helping them find happy new homes with local families.
We’re determined to carry on helping cats and kittens for the next 120 years too – and we’re now looking for new faces to join our volunteer Board of Trustees, overseeing our charity and providing strategic direction to our Management Team.
Everyone on our Board brings different experience and skills to the charity. You don’t need to have experience working with animals – or to have worked in the charitable sector – to apply. You just need to have an interest in the type of work that we carry out, be willing to give up a small amount of your time to participate in Board activities, and be able to use your professional experience to navigate the opportunities and risks that the charity faces.
Whilst we’d be happy to hear from anyone who fits the description above, we’d be particularly interested to hear from applicants who have experience in:
- HR / Line Management
- IT / Data Security
- Finance / Accounting
