Thought you may like to know that Emony has settled in so well. She gets on so well with our other cat Snoopy and our rabbit, Alice. She has alot of energy and is always charging around the house. She is very lively and makes us happy to watch her. Thanks for everything. We are so pleased to have her.
How lovely to receive an update from Abby, who was with us for some time before finding her perfect home to relax in. She looks fantastic!
I thought all you good caring people at the cats’ shelter might like an update on Abby's progress. Abby has been part of our family for three months now, and we absolutely love her to bits. She has settled in really well, and has taken over our son's bedroom, now he no longer lives at home. Her favourite spot is nestled against the pillows on his bed, from where she is able to see everything that is going on.
Abby's nervousness has eased a little, and she is becoming more confident as she gets to know us. We know it will take time and lots of patience, so there's no rush. In a morning if it's too early to get up, Abby will jump up onto our bed and sit quietly on top of the quilt at the foot of the bed, and wait until it is time to get up and get her breakfast. When we are relaxing in an evening, Abby will join us on the sofa, obviously enjoying our company. She is quite happy to sit next to us and be stroked, but is not confident enough to sit on our laps. But we are just happy to let her take things at her own pace.
Abby is such a lovely girl and we are so pleased that she is now part of our family.
Some of you may remember meeting lovely Lucky, our little 3-legged girl that was featured on our SOS page for some time. We were really delighted to hear from Lucky's new owners and to receive these photos.

Hi to everyone at the Cat Shelter
Just wanted to let you know how delighted we are to have Marley and Jessie (previously Bashful) living with us. They have settled in very well and quickly established themselves as part of the family. Marley is a bit of a man of mystery - mischievious and a little aloof, he definitely likes life on his own terms! My 6 year old son Owen has got a real bond with him, he is the only person Marley sits on. Jessie is an absolute beauty, affectionate but also very cheeky. They play a lot together, of course, lots of chasing and play-fighting, and they like to snuggle up together too.
We LOVE having the kittens, thank you for allowing us to adopt them, they make the family complete!

Belle is such a beautiful cat, with a playful and loving temperament.

I am happy to say that both Bob and Stella seem to have settled well with us. After the first few hours, Bob would come out of hiding, allow himself to be stroked and quickly ventured onto knees. He now spends his day luxuriating on various beds, sofas and window ledges, and knees, whenever we sit down for long enough!
Stella is certainly much more shy and a little distrustful of people. She still prefers her secret place - on the chair under the table, where she can hardly be found. However, the problems she had with the litter tray have disappeared now she can go out. Both of them wander in and out whenever they want, preferring early mornings and after dark, spending little time in our own garden, but exploring the whole area - very different from my last cat who rarely left the garden. Stella also loves sitting on stairs and the landing is the place where she feels most at ease to give and receive fuss from us, particularly just before bedtime. She loves to be stroked then, nestles into my hand and arm, walks round me, but has only twice attempted to sit on me, so I think, though the signs are good that she will gradually feel more trusting.
The two of them complement each other well. They get on so well together, often playing together, especially in the evening - tearing up and down the stairs and round the upstairs rooms, even though they now spend a lot of time apart during the day. Bob is very confident with us. He’s the one who jumps on the bed to remind me it’s breakfast time and sits on the edge of the kitchen as I prepare their food, while Stella hangs back a little. Outside, Bob seems clueless - like a little round-eyed child on a big exciting adventure, but easily scared by the unknown. Stella, however, is very wily outside - seems streetwise and always steps out with confidence. I have seen her watch Bob carefully when he could have got into difficulty with another cat, then prowl out from her hiding place to put the frighteners on the other cat by sheer force of numbers.
They are very much loved here. We thoroughly enjoy their different personalities, have a lot of fun with them and I think they like us too!
This is Baillie, formerly Sfor, rolling about being a complete tart and playing in a paper bag at his new home.
He's a mischevious, demanding, sweet natured monster - he eats like a horse, wakes us up at 5am asking to be let in the bedroom, plays and chases us about constantly - he has his own games, which involve chasing us up the stairs, then hiding under the bed and leaping out to bat us on the ankles before runnign away expecting to be chased back down the stairs.... and he just loves to be petted. And yes, he is spoiled rotten, but what do you expect? Thanks again for letting us bring him home - he had never been outside as far as we can tell, but now plays out in our garden and everyone else's a lot of time - he has most of the neighbourhood to himself. He was one of two very boisterous cats when we came to look round, and Jared was not sure this would suit us as we normally have a quiet household here, but I made the executive decision and I'm very glad I did.
kind regards,
Sharon and Jared

Dear Sheffield Cat Shelter,
Dear all
I thought you would like to know how Mark and Stewart are getting on. We have changed their names to Gizmo (Mark) and Stewart (Dregen).
Well as soon as we arrived home with them, they both went and hid at the top of the stairs and after a couple of days Gizmo started exploring his new home and coming to us for cuddles, Dregen took longer to settle and has only recently started coming for cuddles and exploring more.
On vets advice we are still keeping them in for a few more weeks at least, and it will be their decision as to whether or not they go outdoors.
They love nothing more than either sitting in the window, chasing each other around the home and sitting next to us for stroking. They enjoy play fighting with each other and cleaning one another.
They are turning into loving cats with very different personalities.
Thank you for allowing us to adopt them and we wish you many successes in rehoming all of your cats.
Julie and Len
