Letters from Adopters

Teacake

Hello

We just wanted to drop you a quick line to let you know how teacake has settled in.

Charlie and Fudge

We got Charlie and Fudge from you at the beginning of 2007, although I
had fallen madly in love with Charlie the October before. As soon as we
got them home it was as if they had been there forever. There was no
settling in time needed, they were at home immediately. Although they
had been very close at the shelter they have both drifted apart a little
now, i guess that is because we have another six cats for them to spend
time with, and they are happier spending their time with humans
(although Charlie is good friends with our big black cat, Marvin and our

Astrid

Hello,

Remember we adopted Astrid last summer. She just want to tell everybody in the cats shelter that she is still enjoying herself very much at home and is well look after (spoil) by her mummy and daddy with lots of tasty treats and interesting toys. Here she is on her mummy's laptop trying to get some fuss. She is definitely a love a fuss girl!

Cookie

Hi all,

I just thought I'd let you know how my cat Cookie is, I adopted him in December 2006. He settled in very well and was keen to explore round my house. He really enjoys sleeping on his back with his feet in the air.

Cookie is a bit of a fussy eater and at first he kept being sick and having tummy problems so the vet advised me to feed him boiled meat. Since this date he has conitued to eat boiled meat- his favourite is Chicken but is is also kean on tuna.

He enjoys running around and playing with his pretend red mouse.

SiriTachi

I left the shelter on February 11th for my new home with Alice & Ed.
They started called me SiriTachi instead of Twinkle, and I let them
know I liked it by responding straight away. I am now named after a
Star Wars Jedi knight!

There are 2 other cats here who didn't seem too pleased to see me at
first. However we are starting to become friends. One of them,
Houdini, was at the shelter before he came here. I nearly curled up
with him yesterday, but decided to wait a little longer.

It took a while for Alice & Ed to work out what I like to eat. I only

Mickey & Minnie (Twiggy)

This is an update really, of a letter posted 2006-07-03 titled Mickey & Minnie (Twiggy) I don’t know if you remember her, she was a very, very thin brindle, we adopted her in August 2004. Minnie (Twiggy) is physically well but Mickey, her soul mate, went missing from home on 28th November last year and she has never quite got over it. Minnie used to spend every night on our daughters bed, Mickey would sleep on ours, but since 28th November she spends every night at the top of the stairs looking down at the door as if waiting for him to come home. It is quite heart breaking to see her.

Crackers

Dear Sheffield Cats Shelter,

Here's a picture of our cat, Crackers (was Pippa) enjoying one of her many sleeping places.
We adopted her in May 2002 and as you can see, she's a healthy girl, who loves nothing more than to bring us mice and shrews from the fields, and she's so proud of herself when she brings us one of her presents!
Keep up the great work you do.

Pepsi's new home

hello to everyone at the cats shelter
It`s pepsi (now Marg) just dropping you a line between sleeping near the radiator, eating my beef and heart sheba ! and playing with zebedee catnip mouse.  It was definitely a good move coming here though i do miss being top female in that room ! I have endless comfy beds in this house and my owners (staff) think i`m gorgeous.  I started going out after bonfire night but half an hour is enough for me especially now it`s so wet and cold.  I was of

Chessy

Hi All
Just thought you might like to know how Chessy is getting on. He seems to be settling in here really well. was a little noisy when we got him home, though he seemed to get on with everyone fine. He did have a habit of leaving a room, and then complaining loudly that there was noone there. He even did it once when he turned around! Monday night he was a little noisy, but we think he was just scared and lonely, he calmed down when we found him. Yesterday he was much quieter and calmer, happy to wander around on his own and sit in rooms on his own. He doesnt seem to want to go upstairs though. Last night we didnt hear anything from him, and he slept downstairs on his own. He was a little loud when our housemate came down in the morning, but he seemed to think it was breakfast time.
