Hi,
We adopted Apollo and Cleopatra (now renamed Monty and Juneau) two weeks ago and thought you'd like an update. They settled in really well. They have an amazing scratch post and some toys with feathers on that they love to play with, in fact the house is like one big cat adventure playground!
They playfight but nothing nasty and are total lap cats when they want a snooze. We're currently getting them used to collars but they're sneaky and can get them off.
So all on all they're really happy and so are we. They're part of the family.
Kind regards,
Lisa and Nige
We adopted two of your cats (Janie and Sally) last month (June) and wanted to let you know that they have settled in nicely. Our 16 month old son Sam gets along with them really well and enjoys throwing the ball for them and playing with their toy fishing rod which they just love to chase!!!!!!!!
We enjoy the quiet times during the day when they both come for cuddles, Sally is a soppy little thing, Janey is a little more mischeivous and gets playful when cuddled (Steven has the scratches to prove it! :o)). The kittens have the full run of the house and usually take advantage of this by running around the whole house at lightning speed throughout the night!!
We have re-named the girls Sugar and Spice and have attached a few photos of them in their new home. We hope you like them and wouldn't object to you putting them on your site should you wish to do so.
Thank you very much for allowing us to adopt these two wonderful cats, oh and for litter training them of course, not ONE accident to speak of, which is a relief.
We just wanted to write to you and say thankyou for our Emma who we adopted from you a few weeks ago. She is a very affectionate kitten and spends many hours sat on one of our laps. She loves to get up to mischief and is very playful. She has an unusual interest in water and enjoys playing with running water. She is also very intelligent and has learnt a few commands already including 'stay' (which surprised us both). She has made us both very happy and we love her to bits. I have attached some photographs of her for you to have a look at.
This is Edward and Jacob (now Sootica and Gobolino) who were adopted from the Shelter in May 2010 - it's lovely to see them so settled.
We recently adopted two cats from you, known as Stella and Sadie, but which we have now renamed as Seren and Siani. They are settling in very well and are great company, both to each other and to us. They seem to have bonded very well with us and are very clear that this is their home, even when we have had visitors or builders in.
They love being out in the garden and play hide and seek and "pounce" with each other between all the plants. They are not very respectful of which plants they should not sit on though, and we have had to establish lots of frames and nets to protect our precious vegetables and flowers! They are well worth it though, and sitting out or working in the garden is much more entertaining for us now. It is quite peculiar though that although they are very interested in us and very friendly, and try and be near us whenever they can, Siani in particular will still not let us pick her up, although Seren will let us sometimes now. We are busy training Siani as you suggested by trying to hold her while she is eating (her most important occupation!) and she is a little more willing to be held briefly while she is eating, so hopefully we will get there in the end!

We were delighted when a local retirement home came looking for a suitable cat to provide companionship for their residents. George, who is 11 years old and considered geriatric in the cat world, has found his perfect retriement home, having been adopted by the staff and residents of the Alexander Court Nursing Home in Crookes.
“Our residents decided that they would like to adopt a cat”, said Barbara Bennett, the home’s Activities Coordinator. “We went to the Sheffield Cats Shelter and we were really impressed with the work they do and the care they give to homeless cats. We thought it would be ideal to adopt an older cat to live with us”, added Barbara.
George has settled into his new home and has made many friends amongst the residents. Although he loves to wander outside during the day, he is always at home in the evening being pampered and spoilt. He has round the clock attention from the staff who take care of his feeds but at night-time he can often be found snoozing on one of his favourite resident’s beds.
This is George having a cuddle with Melba and having a relax before a night time of more relaxing!

It’s really heart-warming to see one of our older cats settle into a new home”, added Kim. It just goes to show that whether you are human or a cat, you are never too old to make new friends.
Please find photos of Stella and Guinness attached. Pleased to report that all is still very well with these two. They are so well settled, it feels as though we've had them much longer than we have. We were thinking of looking for kittens before we saw these two featured as SOS cats on your website. We coudn't believe they'd been with you so long and wanted to offer them a home straight away. It was such a good instinct - they are well-behaved, full of character and great to have around.
Thanks for everything,
Virginia
As promised please find attached some pictures of Winston (formerly Horace) and Daisy (Rosie), brother and sister who I adopted about 5 weeks ago. They've settled in well and are becoming increasingly confident. Slowly but surely Winston has been destroying the majority of our furniture and Daisy continues to be a good girl and not get involved! So far so good and we've not had any real mishaps.
Thanks for finding us some extremely cute kittens!

Here's Rupert, who was adopted in April:
He is very happy and likes going outside now but only disappears for half an hour. He loves being around us and sits wherever we are and has a favourite orange fluffy toy which he loves.

How lovely to receive the following letter about Twiggy, one of our former 'temperamental' cats:
My wife and I have promised (a few times) that we will write in, sending some photos of Twiggy and Cleo (née Cupid) and so, some years later, we have!
Twiggy is, at least most of the time, a totally different cat! While he still has some of his, for wont of a better word, quirks, he is so much more social its almost bizarre. He defiantly craves attention (although isn’t always sure how to get it) and is known to bolt through to cat flap into the house when he sees we’re in. He can still be a little over-excitable when it comes to playing with him but he has even been known not to use his claws from time to time! He will, however, should you let your guard down, rip off your face and run away with it if you give him a chance!
Unlike most cats he loves the outdoors all the time and will happily mooch about outside in the snow, sleet and rain (but not the wind.... he’s scared of the wind).
It is most defiantly fair to say that Twiggy, while having had a difficult past, is a happy (if a little overweight) and is now, at least relatively, a well-adjusted cat.
