Shop Roles
We are we looking for?
You must be reliable, hard-working and able to work on your own AND as part of a team to a given standard.
Please bear in mind that we are a small shelter and may not have suitable space straight away- if this is the case you will be asked to be added to a waiting list, to be contacted when an appropriate space comes up.
Although we understand that you might not be able to attend some of your allotted sessions, we do ask that you take this placement seriously and make every effort to maintain your attendance. Repeatedly not attending your slot will lead to you being asked to no longer volunteer.

Volunteer Driver and Driver's Mate
4 hours per week on a day to be decided
As a driver or driver’s mate you’ll be providing a vital service which ensures that our shops and our shelter run smoothly.
Working four hours a week on a day to be agreed (which could be a Saturday), you’ll transport donations from our shelter to our shops in Hillsborough and Ecclesall Road, and transport cat food and other items from our shops to our shelter.
Some lifting and carrying will be involved, and our volunteer driver will need to be aged 25 or over and have a clean driving license.
The Sheffield Cats Shelter Volunteer Fundraiser
Flexible
The Sheffield Cats Shelter’s Fundraisers are invaluable for supporting the work done by The Shelter.
Their role includes going to various events and locations with collection tins, and possibly selling some of our wonderful branded goods.
As a thank you for their hard work, volunteer fundraisers are often asked to visit The Shelter and spend some time with the cats in our care after an event or shift.
