Dear all at The Sheffield Cats Shelter
My name is Poppy, but you will remember me as Mog. I'm just emailing to let you know how I am getting on in my new home. I was a bit frightened and anxious when I left the shelter and I was very vocal all the way home in the taxi. However, once I was allowed out of the pet carrier in my new home I had a good sniff around and once I was satisfied I went for a cuddle on my new mum's knee. My new family adore me. I live in quite a big house and now that I can open the living room door all by myself I have got the whole run of the house!! You won't be surprised to hear that I still enjoy my food and often try to get a little bit of something from my new family's dinner plates as well. I just like to try new things honest!
I have recently been allowed outside to explore. We have a small front and back garden for me to play in. I prefer the back garden, as I can get into neighbouring gardens from there easily to have a look around. I have even introduced myself to the next door neighbour's rabbits! I don't tend to stray very far as I like to keep going home to check that my new family are still there. So my day tends to consist of breakfast in a morning, then I go outside to play, by the afternoon I'm tired so I like to stay in and lay down for a nap, then it's time for tea and I spend some time outside again. My new family say that I'm not to go outside too late at night, so I am usually home no later than 9pm.
Thank you so much for taking care of me whilst I was in between homes and thank you for finding me a nice warm, cosy home and a loving family.
Poppy (aka Mog) xx
