Pablo and Danny SOS ADOPTED!!!!
WONDERFUL NEWS - AFTER BEING WITH US FOR 13 MONTHS, PABLO AND DANNY WERE ADOPTED IN JANUARY 2011. THEY HAVE SETTLED IN WELL WITH THEIR NEW OWNERS AND NEW FELINE FRIEND.
Pablo and Danny both came to the Shelter in December. Venus, another of our SOS cats, is mum to them both, but Pablo was from an earlier litter. They have lived outside since birth and are therefore very wary of people. Pablo is about 2 years old and Danny is 5 months old. They have been at the shelter over a month and during that period staff and volunteers have managed to gain their trust, and they are both calmer around people. They even allow themselves to the stroked, although reluctantly at the moment. Pablo tends to skip away, but Danny will be picked up and held (although he tries to hide under your arm). Pablo and Danny are looking for a new home together with no young children and a owner who is dedicated and patient with them. It will take some time for them to become confident, therefore an owner who is used to being around timid cats would be ideal.
UPDATE: Pablo and Danny are still waiting patiently with us. Despite still being wary of humans, they have become incredibly inquisitive and playful. They will often come to the reception window to check out what the staff are up to and we can regularly hear ping pong balls boinging around the room when they think no-one is around.
