Nervous Frank - adopted June 2009

Hi, just wanted to give you all an update on Frank who we adopted from you June 09.   Frank decided to live in the corner of the kitchen for the first few weeks and only came out when he chose to - not very often.  It took quite a while to build his confidence as he was scared of everything!  Gradually Frank started to 'socialise' more and this led to him being allowed to go outside.  Unfortunately, Frank was then too scared to come back and refused to answer to his name!  This meant that we had to sit up late with the doors open until he decided to creep in unnoticed.  3 months on and Frank is still a little funny at times.  One minute happy to be laid whilst his tummy is stroked and the other avoiding people by creeping round the edge of the room.  He now spends most of his days outside, a cat flap has been fitted for him although it still has to be tied open for him to use it even after having it for a month!   He comes in for his tea and then flops down on the rug in the lounge and waits for people to come and fuss him.  Frank had his booster injection recently and was extremely well behaved although he sulked afterwards for about a week!  So all in all Frank has settled well into his new home and appears to be happy.  Please find the attcahed photo of Frank in one of his relaxed moods!
It's lovely to see such a frightened little cat now settled and relaxed - Ed.
