Mickey & Minnie (Twiggy)
This is an update really, of a letter posted 2006-07-03 titled Mickey & Minnie (Twiggy) I don’t know if you remember her, she was a very, very thin brindle, we adopted her in August 2004. Minnie (Twiggy) is physically well but Mickey, her soul mate, went missing from home on 28th November last year and she has never quite got over it. Minnie used to spend every night on our daughters bed, Mickey would sleep on ours, but since 28th November she spends every night at the top of the stairs looking down at the door as if waiting for him to come home. It is quite heart breaking to see her. The two cats spent hours together outside, Minnie never spend more than 5 minutes outside now, they would sleep together during the day and kept each other active by chasing each other and play fighting every evening. We have tried everything we can think of to find Mickey, including a couple of phone calls to the Sheffield Cat’s Shelter but all to no avail. We are now coming to the conclusion that we will never see Mickey again and will soon be making a trip to the Cat’s Shelter to see if we can find another companion for Minnie although I just don’t think anyone will every really take his place in her heart.
