Marbles is a handsome boy who came to The Shelter after living his whole life as a stray, in a colony of other cats.
Marbles is a young boy, who loves to play and keeps himself entertained with toys, but will now play with the staff at the shelter. When he first arrived, he was very nervous and wary of humans, however with time and patience, he is more comfortable with us being in the same space as him. Marbles is still unsure of his environment at the moment, and as a result will need to go to an experienced owner who has owned timid cats before. We believe that he has the potential to come around to human company, staff members have already managed to give him gentle strokes on the head, but this is still all very new and strange to him. He has a way to go, but is doing well. He may never be a lap cat, but we believe he could still have a great, happy life with someone.
We believe that another confident and friendly cat could bring Marbles out of his shell a little more and build his confidence around humans. He loves being around the other cats at the shelter, sometimes sneaking in cuddle time with Ola!
We think that it would be best for Marbles to go to a home that is a good distance away from any main or busy roads and he will need plenty of safe outdoor space to explore when he is ready to do so. Not forgetting a forever home with a family that have lots of love and patience, for him to come around in his own time.
Marbles needs an adult only home with no dogs. We do feel that he’d do well with another cat(s), provided that they are calm and confident, so he can learn from them and develop his own “cattitude”!
