Firecracker was found living as a stray and with fears that she may get pregnant or hurt, a concerned member of the public brought her to the shelter.
Firecracker was taken to our vets where they did a full health check, and discovered she has a heart murmur, so further blood-work was carried out before they could perform her dental treatment. She has seen our heart specialist veterinarian and has a gallop rhythm and a thickened muscle in her heart. She is currently not on any treatment, but will require 6 monthly heart scans to ensure the condition is stable. She may need medication in future, but for now is enjoying life with lots of cuddles and tasty food!
She is a very sweet natured lady who loves a fuss and gives lots of head bumps! She can be a little shy at first, but doesn’t take long to get to know you. Now she has had the dental work, she is much more comfortable and looking for her forever home. We think she needs a home with no other cats, but we think she would make a lovely addition to a quiet family home and would make an excellent companion. She has plenty of love to give and is always happy to see you. She is used to going outside, but would probably like to spend most of her day snoozing or being pampered!
If you think you could give Firecracker a cracking home, then please pop down to the shelter to meet her.
If you are interested in adopting Firecracker, please visit the shelter on Wed and Fri 1:30pm - 3:00pm or Sat and Sun 1:00pm - 3:30pm
