About Us
The Sheffield Cats Shelter is a small, local charity which has cared for cats and kittens since 189
7. Our aim is to promote responsible pet ownership and help find loving homes for some of the many cats in Sheffield that, for some reason, do not have somebody to look after them.
We are solely funded through the generous contributions of our supporters. We receive no lottery or state aid. Our annual running costs are funded exclusively by voluntary donations and legacies.
We never put a healthy cat to sleep; all the cats that come into our care are seen by a vet and given any treatment that they require, irrespective of cost. Before adoption, all of our cats receive the appropriate vaccinations and medicines and are neutered and microchipped.
