We have received this lovely update about one of our former residents, Fred...

Lexus has settled in very well. We have changed her name from Lexus to Mitzy and she seems to be very happy and healthy.
She loves lots of attention and cuddles but she is also very playful. She is getting on extremely well with the other kitten, they spend hours chasing each other all around the house and they cuddle up together when they are sleeping.
We have attatched a picture of Mitzy with our other cat Rufus.

Flossie has settled in fine. After a short period where she terrified our dog, (that was a first), we are now able to leave them in the same room with no trouble. She is eating well and has explored the whole house. She didn't take too kindly to being keep indoors, but has settled so well that yesterday we let her out for a short time. She returned with no trouble at all. The only thing she has to do now is realise the cat flap works both ways!
Best Wishes and Thanks
Pauline
It's great to see one of our SOS cats so happy in a new home - Ed
The kittens are doing really well. They were straight out of the carrier box on arrival and exploring the house with no fear. They seem really settled and happy. We have renamed them Wispa (black and white) and Kitkat (diamond marking on the nose). They sleep a lot in the day but tend to have giddy playful times (mostly evening times) when they chase each other around - it's very entertaining! They do seem to love attention and spend a lot of time sitting on us. They are really good too - no accidents at all.
They did have a little scare yesterday when another cat peered through the catflap which has a clear window - they both happened to be looking out too and got a bit freaked out, Wispa more so than Kitkat but they soon got other it.
Sean is fine, he's just been out in the garden for a good run around and now having a nap. (For about an hour). He's a little monkey at meal times, so now he eats his food at the same time as we do. We are keeping his name as Sean so as not to confuse the lad.
Hi,
Last August we adapted Smokey (Originally called Budge) & Bandit from the Sheffield Cat Shelter - I thought I'd drop you a quick note to let you know how they are getting on!
They're very happy and growing quickly - Smokey has grown into quite a large cat, but Bandit still has some catchign up to do!
Both cats are still very very playful, but also love nothing more than heading into the woods that border our house for a day chasing birds and mice - we've had some lovely "gifts" brought by both of them!
I've attached a few recent pictures of them.
Keep up the Good work.
Daniel, Leah, Smokey & Bandit.
How lovely to see how these two little monkeys are getting on - Ed

Hello to everyone at The Sheffield Cats Shelter,
As we’ve just had our first anniversary with Charlie, we thought we’d write and tell you all how he’s getting on. Having Charlie with us has been a dream come true for the whole household. He is unbelievably loving and affectionate. He is happiest creeping into our bed in the middle of the night, and falling asleep snuggled up to us, even though he has two baskets in our bedroom alone.
For a seventeen year old, he is still surprisingly agile, storming up the and down the stairs when it’s treat time. He recently had an MOT at the vets, in which we found out that he is still in really good health for his age. His baby brother seems to think that he is a fellow two year old, and often tries to get Charlie to play, and whilst he mostly declines, on the odd occasion he has been known to hold his own (especially after a sniff of cat nip!).
Whilst Charlie may cost us a lot in cat food (he has developed expensive tastes) he has saved us a fortune in alarm clock batteries. Every morning as soon as dawn approaches, Charlie begins to believe he’s a rooster, and crows with the best of them. The only thing that will quieten him is a fresh bowl of food, in which he promptly devours and falls back to sleep long before we do. The only other time he makes that much noise is when he’s ventured outside for a moment before rushing back in and howling his excitement at us.
Having enchanted us (and all extended family) we couldn’t imagine life without him. We can’t thank The Sheffield Cats Shelter enough for keeping him safe and well until he found us. Adopting him is one of the best things we will ever do.
Thank you so much, love from Cheryl, Gary, Mew Ferrigno and Charlie xxx

Hello to you all. We took Simba (Simbo) in back in May of this year and it is safe to say that he has well and truly made himself at home. The little bit of weight he had lost has returned and he has a fantastic glossy coat. He is currently terrorizing the local rodent population which is a sign of how well he has settled and he is still as vocal as ever. He is one of the family and he feels the same way about us.....very affectionate.....especially just before meal times strangely enough.
We will keep you updated in the future....but thank you for helping our lovely Simba when he needed it.
Warmest wishes
Phil & Esther
